TECHNOLOGY FIELD – AN UPHILL BATTLE FOR WOMEN

It’s truly said that the facts lay down an exact and an appropriate picture. Women constitute 50% of the US workforce, but only 25% retain themselves into the technological industry. Despite logical growth in the entrepreneurship, women lead only 8% of the start-ups. Women are considered much more intelligent in college level, but very few women represent the senior management posts in various industries. It’s not that women are lagging behind but they surely need to buckle up their ratios in the technological sector.

There are various issues which women face in their career progress like Gender stereotypes, workplace flexibility, role models and education. These obstacles not only hamper the growth of the female executives but positively offer hope for the next generation of tech savvy women. As the women has to take care of work, house work as well as children, which results in embracing the duality of parenting and professionalism.

The mentioned problems not only obstruct the growth of women in their existing organizations, but also cause issues in their duration of work in an organization. Despite the mentioned influences, women have the tendency to hold on their guts and face the issues strongly.

With such unbeaten strengths, women have not only an important role to issue in the overall functioning of technological surroundings, but also possess a critical as well as valuable role to play in its execution.
